- We recommend
that you engrave a sample of the logo when you receive it.
- Always turn
off your engraver before plugging in or pulling out a cartridge.
- Pull up the
lever at the end of the socket to add chips or remove chips from
the cartridge.
- Place the chip
in a socket starting with the one on the right or inside end; i.e.,
U1 first, U2 next, U3, then U4.
- Place the logo/font
chip in the socket with the colored dot at the top of the chip towards
the component at the top of the cartridge with the colored dot on
it. Failure to do so will cause permanent damage to the chip!! Only
put yellow dot chips in a yellow dot (128K) cartridge, and red dot
chips in a red dot (256K) cartridge.
- Some logos
and fonts require more than one chip. All chips must be used to
make the logo or font work. To use two-, three-, or four-chip logo
or font, place the #1 chip to the inside U1 socket followed by the
#2 chip in the U2 socket, #3 chip in U3 and #4 chip in U4.
- With the engraver
off, plug the logo/font cartridge into any of the open cartridge
slots underneath the control panel. Turn the engraver on.

text entry menu. Press ”OPTIONS” for the text entry
options.

listed on the font menu. The four working logos/fonts are labeled
A, B, C, and D. Press ENTER until you are at the logo/font you wish
to substitute. Substitute the one by entering the number of the
logo/font displayed in the menu, in place of the number already
there.
- Return to text

Logos will be engraved by typing the number 1, or whatever additional
code we may give you (see label illustration below).
